Which nail should I pattern? How do you feel about this look?

You can also see a clearer image of my pink to purple gradient nailzz- OBSESSED

(Yes, I own a magic bullet)
I’m currently loving the reverse french mani
After seeing the McQueen collection done entirely of a houndstooth print, I felt really inspired to somehow incorporate the print into my look.

My best friend and nail-fanatic Anna, recently tried the Sally Hanson Salon Effects strips. They are very similar to Minx nails but apparently are easier to apply and last much, much longer.

When I saw the houndstooth print, I had to purchase them! For $10.99 they ring in at half of the price of Minx or the Sephora rip-off brand.

I can’t wait to try these at some point in the week (hopefully tomorrow). I’ll post pictures (obviously) and a final product review!
OBSESSED with these McQueen inspired nail designs. More photos here.

I just purchased Essie’s Chinchilly and I love it!
It’s very subtle yet sophisticated unlike these in-your-face ed hardy nails

If I had hot pink nailpolish (and longer nails) i’d totally try this:

but I didn’t have either of those things so I was inspired by this:

To create this look using Chinchilly and silver

Silver is awesome alone too:

Or when worn under Katy Perry’s shattered for OPI, which I rocked last week

Oh, and I just haaaad to include these Hello Kitty nails as they are just plain cute!

I think it is safe to say my new addiction is NAILPOLISH.
My New Years makeup was inspired by a combination of Katy Perry’s California Gurls glittery violet eyes…

And Michelle Phan’s New years makeup tutorial on youtube

I’m really happy with the results. Here is the way the eyes turned out,

And the completed look after the rest of the face, hair, and lips were finished

I take back what I said earlier about these minx nails for Sephora, totally F and totally Fabulous. I don’t want to take them off.

And finally, here’s a little taste of the ensemble… ruffly shirt, black high waisted skirt (hopefully not too typical), black on black geometric tights, wedges, minx nails, and jewelry.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TUMBLR! It’s officially day two of 2011 and so far I’m loving it.
